Position Overview

Malaria No More’s Development team leads the strategy and implementation of global fundraising efforts for a portfolio of organizational program areas, including our mature programs of Health Finance Coalition and Forecasting Healthy Futures, with a focus on building strong relationships with foundations, corporations, and individual philanthropists.

We strive to educate and motivate our supporters, to make them feel a part of our common mission, and to help find ways for them to play their own distinct part in our mission to preserve and expand global health outcomes. We conduct engaging outreach activities to keep our donor base informed, we hold impactful events to reenergize our supporters, and we continuously improve our efforts to inspire new support from others.

Under the leadership of the Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships, the Manager, Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for building a pipeline of new funding opportunities for MNM programs, managing development reporting, and supporting the proposal development process.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support planning, and proposal development for a portfolio of pilot projects, innovative programs, and strategic partnerships.
  • Work with Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships and program teams to execute the Development team strategy.
  • Lead research and trends analysis of donor funding landscape.
  • Support development and execution of organization and program-specific resource development strategies.
  • Execute business plans (with program teams) to move ideas from exploration, to demonstration, to growth.
  • Track Development team progress against set metrics and goals.
  • Collaborate with Global Strategic Communications team to create compelling materials in support of resource development activities
  • Support fundraising team on cross-cutting initiatives and efforts

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in global health and/or international development, including at least 2 years of relevant experience in fundraising and/or business development
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing strategies and business plans, marketing, proposal writing, and portfolio management for global organizations working in public health
  • Proven relationship and partnership management and experience supporting fundraising with a network of global partners
  • Knowledge of global health, passion for social impact, and enthusiasm for Malaria No More’s goals and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with simultaneous ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at various levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Energetic, creative, and resourceful thinker, able to connect dots and willing to take strategic risks
  • Excellent writing and research skills, including report and external communications writing

$75,000 - $110,000 a year
