"Malaria in Kenya and how it has Affected the Country"
It came without anyone taking note of its arrival,
Many thought it came to pass by,
But it had come to stay.
It started finishing our people one after the other,
We should eradicate malaria before it gets rid of us.
This story I am about to tell is what many people in my country know is reality. For these who survive they have lived to tell of the ordeal...
My name is Phoebe Wanja and I know what people with malaria face because I also suffered from it a couple of times...
...malaria affects anyone and everyone. What I mean is that malaria does not choose how you look or how old you are but goes to everyone. In my homeland many are affected. This sometimes leads to the decline of the country's economy. Poverty is also one of Kenya's biggest problems and is also associated with malaria because when malaria affects the working generation they will not be able to cater for the needs of the non-working generation. This leads to poverty in such a way that the family of the affected person concentrates on the affected rather than on earning a daily living.
In my country since there is a big problem of education I think it is best if we educate people on malaria...
...old or young we should unite and destroy this foe Malaria before it destroys us.
